2010 TOPPS ATTAX FOOTBALL CARD GAME

- STEP 1 - PICK YOUR TEAM
Each player needs 16 cards for the game - 8 offensive players and 8 defensive players. The offensive players must include 2 quarterbacks and any other 6 running backs, wide receivers, or tight ends. The defensive players can be any 8 defenders you like. Each card is only used once per game, unless the game goes into overtime.
- STEP 2 - FLIP A COIN TO SEE WHO GOES FIRST
- STEP 3 - PICK YOUR STARTERS
The player on offense places 1 quarterback and 3 other offensive players face down in the four Offense boxes on the game mat. The player on defense picks 4 defensive players and holds them in his hand.
- STEP 4 - RUN A PLAY
The player on offense flips over a player to run his play with. The payer on defense selects a player to defend with and places the card face down in the defense spot on the board. The player on offense calls the play he wants to run. The player on defense then flips over his card. Compare the defensive player's power number in the same color as the power number the offensive player called.
- STEP 5 - SEE IF HE SCORES
If the offensive player has a higher number, it's a touchdown for 7 points! The offensive player puts that card in his Touchdown pile. If the defender's number is higher, check the label on his power number. If it says TACKLE, it's a tackle and no points are scored. If it says TURNOVER, it's a defensive touchdown for 7 points for the team on defense! The defender puts that car in his Touchdown pile.
- STEP 6 - RUN THE NEXT PLAY
Repeat Step 4 for all 4 of the offensive player's cards, no matter what the result of the previous play was. Then switch sides; the other player is now on offense. When his turn is over, that's the end of the first half. Swtich again for the start of the second half. Both players go on offense one more time!
- STEP 7 - SEE WHO WON
Once each player has been on offense two times, all the cards on both sides should have been used. Compare your scores - the player with the most points wins! Remember, 7 points for a touchdown and 4 points for a field goal.
- STEP 8 - BREAK A TIE
In case of a tie, players can go to overtime. Eahc player selects 4 offensive cards (1 quarterback) and 4 defensive cards from the 16 they used to play the game. Play a complete half to break the tie.
SCORING CHART:
- If the Offensive number is higher ... Then the play results in a Touchdown for the offense - 7 points!
- If the Numbers are tied ... Then the play results in a Field goal for the offense - 3 points!
- If the Defensive number is higher and says TACKLE ... Then the play results in a Tackle - the offense runs their next play!
- If the Defensive number is higher and says TURNOVER ... Then the play results in a Turnover 7 points for the defense! Then the offense goes again.
